Diplo To Bring Mad Decent Block Party to Pakistan in February 2018

Can you believe that in all his travels Diplo only came to Pakistan for the first time in 2016?

He gave a special concert in capital city Islamabad alongside his buddy Elliphant and local-upcoming musicians Adil Omar and Talal Qureshi. That was back in February, and he must have had a good time, because he’s coming back two years later — and this time, he’s bringing the whole crew.

The Mad Decent Block Party will make its Pakistani debut in February of 2018.

No word yet who will be on the bill.

Krewella Is All Set To Rock Pakistan!

Making their way to Pakistan for a concert tour in December, One of the biggest EDM duo Yasmine and Jahan Yousaf – better known as Krewella – will be seen performing alongside SNKM (Adil Omar + Talal Qureshi),. Although the duo has yet to announce which city they’ll be performing in, it seems like Islamabad will be their first choice.

This is not the first time Adil Omar and Talal Qureshi have collaborated with foreign artists; they previously performed with Diplo and Elliphant in Islamabad and have become quite the concert magnet in the Capital. This time they’ll be performing with the super-funky Krewella and rest assured all of Pakistan’s EDM-crazy youth will be there to work it!

Krewella took to social media to announce their concert in a video.

Strings Bid Farewell To Coke Studio!

Coke Studio was revolutionary for music in Pakistan and this year the innovative show marked ten years of ground breaking music; needless to say the show reached new heights of success with an impeccable ensemble of musicians helming it. Whether it was Rohail Hyatt or Strings, the show evolved season after season, giving us new hits each year. However, this tenth season did not go down too well with fans and it seems the show might be in for a change from next season.

Taking to social media, Strings – consisting of Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia – issued a statement clarifying that the band has left the show as its producers after handling it since the last four seasons.

They posted:

We’re already hearing that Rohail Hyatt will be back as producer Coke Studio next year, as he reportedly has been signed on by Coke Studio global, according to sources.

Entity Paradigm Reunites For One Epic Night

True rock music lovers of Pakistan know this feeling. You walk into a venue, the place is crowded with familiar faces, a rock band takes the stage, and within a few minutes, the riddle presents itself: Everyone in the room instantly knows that this is the greatest rock band performing on Earth at this specific moment in time, and while it’s impossible to know for sure, it’s impossible to imagine anything better.

For roughly 10 minutes on the finale of Pepsi Battle Of The Bands 2017, Entity Paradigm reunion was that best thing that happened in any music reality show or award show for a long time. Former members Fawad Khan and ace guitarist Xulfi reunited with their friends and performed their rock anthem ‘Hamesha’ that stole the thunder from all the other bands that performed throughout the season.

We hope another reunion happens soon and for good! We’d love to hear some more good music from eP.

Momina Mustehsan Performs Concert On PIA Flight

All of Pakistan is celebrating August 14 and Pakistan’s 70th birthday this evening and I think the most creative celebration has to be hosted by national carrier PIA, who planned a secret Momina Mustehsan concert on PK308, in the air!

Passengers on the flight were pleasantly surprised when the crew and Momina, accompanied by musicians Haroon and Sharoon, set the plan in motion and commenced the jam. Momina sang ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ and her very famous Coke Studio cover of  ‘Afreen Afreen’ while the Leo Twins played violins. It seemed like a tremendously experience for PIA, their passengers and Momina Mustehsan.

We don’t think an aircraft is an ideal acoustic space but Momina makes it work and we love her patriotic wardrobe!
